RULES AND PROCEDURES
Participant should have registered online using the below given link:
https://hdcspellingbee.eventbrite.com
Word list will be emailed to you after registration.
Participants must arrive at the event location before 4:30 PM to check in and receive their registration number.
Competition will start sharply at 5 PM.
Participants will be provided an Answer sheet with your individual registration number. The answers should be written on the given sheet.
All participants will be seated in an order and location determined by the person conducting the Spelling Bee or Pronouncer.
There will be NO practice round.
The pronouncer will read the word and will spend a maximum of 60 seconds on a word.
The speller must write the word on the answer sheet given to them.
The speller may ask the pronouncer to define it, and/or use it in a sentence any number of times but cannot exceed the duration of 60 seconds given to each word.
Every participant will be given a participation certificate.
Houston Indian Fellowship members or anyone associated cannot participate in this competition.
